In this fun, hands-on class, participants will learn how to make two delicious favorites from scratch: traditional Mexican churros and warm, soft pretzels. We’ll start by preparing the dough and learning the proper techniques for shaping and cooking each treat. For the churros, participants will learn how to pipe the dough into the classic ridged shape, fry them until golden and crispy, and finish them with cinnamon sugar. For the soft pretzels, we’ll learn how to prepare and shape the dough into the iconic pretzel twist, give them their traditional baking-soda bath, and bake them until golden brown with a soft, chewy center. Along the way, we’ll share professional tips for working with dough, controlling frying and baking temperatures, and getting the perfect texture every time. instructor Overview Gerardo Diaz Gerardo Diaz is a passionate individual with a love for the great outdoors, culinary arts, and family connections.
